Questionable low level winds

Aircraft 5562 flew in and out of EVV between 17 and 18Z on Sat. Mar 5th. Both the descent and ascent were to the sw of EVV. My attention was drawn to the high winds on the sounding of the descent. The wind speeds were as high as 40 knots at 2000 feet and appeared too high at other altitudes as well. I checked other aircraft reports, model forecasts and vad winds for VWX. All these indicated that the wind speed on the descent aircraft were off. The winds for the departure of the same aircraft appeared to be on the mark. Lyle
