TAMDAR not yet in operational RUC

Hello TAMDAR folks, unfortunately, a mistake was made during the RUC upgrade of 17 Nov that resulted in TAMDAR not being assimilated in the operational RUC. Below is a recent post to the RUC forum ( http://ruc.fsl.noaa.gov/forum/eval/ ) that explains things. ---------------------------------- RUC users, One small but important piece of the RUC upgrade on 17 November did not get in as planned -- modifications to a RUC pre-assimilation code that add TAMDAR data (and mesonet winds). The RUC upgrade testing from NCEP/EMC over the past year in the parallel graphics web site has included TAMDAR data. An emergency change request has been submitted to NCEP/NCO to get this change into the operational RUC very soon, hopefully this month before a holiday moratorium begins. We'll post again when we hear more on this.
