Greetings, AirDat informed us of the following increase in TAMDAR vertical resolution. Previously, TAMDAR was reporting every 10mb up to 100mb above ground level (10 initial observations). Then, TAMDAR reported every 50mb or 3 minutes (whichever came first). TAMDAR then reported every 10mb again in the last 100mb of descent (10 final obs). AirDat has made a change to 44 of the remaining 49 Mesaba aircraft to obtain higher resolution data. Now, TAMDAR reports every 10mb up to 200mb above ground level (20 initial observations). Then, TAMDAR reports every 25mb or 3 minutes (which ever came first). TAMDAR then reports every 10mb again in the last 200mb of descent (20 final obs). This change was made on March 28th. For further information, please contact Cyrena-Marie Druse at AirDat (cdruse@airdat.com, or 720-836-1341). -Bill
