4 TAMDARS in Higher Resolution Pressure mode

Due to popular demand we are evaluating a higher pressure resolution mode for ascent observations. The following 4 TAMDAR probes have been set to put out 10 mbar spaced observations over a 200 mbar range above ground level: 5520 5522 7139 7152 After 200 mbars, the resolution will be 50 mbar. Previously these TAMDAR only put out 10 mbar over the first 100 mbars of altitude above the ground and 50 mbar after that. Due to the way TAMDAR reporting is done internally, only the ascent reports will go to 200 mbar range; the descent will remain at 100 mbar for the time being. Pending the results, we will likely change all the probes to this mode in a few days. Once the decision is made, this can be done quickly via our uplink. Feedback will be appreciated. Dan Mulally
