First TAMDAR installations next week

Everyone, Here is a status report on the installation of the first TAMDAR instruments and the expected start of the TAMDAR Great Lakes Fleet Experiment Nearly all 64 of the Mesaba Saab 340 aircraft have been equipped with provisioning kits (cables, electronics, etc) necessary for the TAMDAR instruments. The first TAMDAR installation is expected to take place Monday, Spetember 20th with several more the following evening. After calibration, the data may be made available the following week. Thirty TAMDAR units have been manufactured and are ready for installation. More are being produced. It is expected that 58 of the 64 aircraft will be equipped by the end of October. If this is the case, the GLFE should begin November 1st.
